The Canterbury Stars Return Endowment Fund was created in 2003 by CACDA and is under the auspices of the Ottawa Community Foundation.
Over $125,000 has been contributed to the Endowment Fund. The value of the fund changes from year to year along with the stock market, but each year it will provide a return of approximately 4.25% which can be used to support the Arts Canterbury Program.
A donation to the Canterbury Stars Return Endowment Fund will be supporting the Arts Canterbury program forever, because it will be invested in a professionally-managed investment portfolio. Only the investment income from the Endowment Fund will be used to further CACDA's purposes in advancing the education of students enrolled in visual and performing arts programs at Canterbury High School and advancing the public's appreciation of the arts through artistic performances at Canterbury High School. As that principal amount grows, the income it can earn will also grow.
