The Canterbury Arts Centre Development Association (CACDA) is a registered charity created in 1985 by parents and staff of the Arts Canterbury program at Canterbury High School in Ottawa.
Mission Statement: We support and promote Arts Canterbury by raising funds to maintain and enhance the program and by advocating for the value of the program within the general community.
Vision: Our vision is to enrich the experience of students in the Arts Canterbury program, which fosters a tolerant and encouraging school environment, developing well-rounded, creative and independent thinkers. Our vision includes a larger community supportive of arts education and the pursuit of excellence in the arts.
CACDA is run by a volunteer Board of Directors of dedicated parents, parents of former students, staff, former staff, alumni of the Arts Canterbury program, and other interested members of CACDA. The Board of Directors is elected for a one-year term a the Association's Annual General Meeting, which is held each October.
